Privacy Policy

IFRS Tutor ("we", "us") publishes free educational content about IFRS and IAS accounting standards on this website (ifrstutor.com), YouTube and TikTok. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect and why.
What we collect
Analytics, only if you agree. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which lessons are useful, such as page views, video plays, quiz completions and clicks to YouTube or TikTok. Analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, analytics storage stays off. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Quiz progress. Your quiz scores and "mastered" badges are stored only in your own browser (local storage). We never receive them.
Contact messages. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email and message you send, and use them only to reply. Form submissions are processed by our host, Netlify.
Server logs. Our host may log standard technical data such as IP address and request time, for security and to keep the site running.
Embedded YouTube videos
Videos load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you press play. Once playing, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.
Use of the TikTok API
We use TikTok's Content Posting API only to publish our own videos to our own TikTok account (@ifrstutors), which we authorise through TikTok's login. It does not collect, read or process personal data of TikTok users, does not access any other account, and nothing obtained through the API is shared, sold or used for advertising.
Sharing, retention and your rights
We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers named above (Google Analytics, Netlify, YouTube and TikTok) to run this site and our channels. Analytics data is kept under Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond.
Depending on where you live (for example under UK or EU GDPR), you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to its use. Contact us through the contact page.
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes, and the date above will show the latest version.
